A message from Sphera CEO Paul Marushka
While the current pandemic is not the first one the world has faced, it is the first one we are facing together. This chapter in history will be discussed and studied for generations, and what they will learn is how advanced technology, innovation and the collective brainpower of experts from around the world came together to combat the COVID-19 pandemic through grit, determination and humanity.
We will get through this together.
For more than 30 years, our customers have placed their trust in Sphera to be their partner in keeping their people safe, which is and should be every organization’s No. 1 priority. Sphera has also been a trusted partner to organizations large and small in helping them deal with complex challenges, and we will continue to live up to that standard and help companies achieve Operational Excellence, even in these challenging times. Sphera is there for you when you need us most.
Sphera is in a unique situation to be able to support our customers immediately. On March 24, we released a new COVID-19 Coronavirus Workforce Assessment feature for free to all of our SpheraCloud customers. The tool helps customers survey the physical and mental well-being of their workforce, manage productivity, and reduce cost and disruption related to COVID-19 risks.
Existing Sphera capabilities can also be leveraged to mitigate the risks associated with the COVID-19 outbreak. Sphera’s Incident Management module allows customers to capture information on COVID-19-related events as they occur in real time, including when an employee has been exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19. Sphera’s Audit module allows companies to create new checklists to understand facility-readiness against guidance from sources such as the WHO, and the European and U.S. CDCs. Companies can also leverage Sphera’s Risk Assessment module to create custom assessments to understand the health and safety of their workforce and develop mitigation strategies to keep people safe and operations productive.
Sphera is proactively addressing customer needs and concerns and helping foster a community through a new COVID-19 Best Practices forum within the Sphera Customer Network (SCN) where users can share insights into how their organizations are reacting and adapting to the pandemic. This is led by our COVID-19 Response Task Force which includes leaders from across our organization. While we are all practicing social distancing, we recognize that the best ideas come from the exchange and sharing of ideas between individuals and teams, and we will be stronger when we work together.
I am in awe of our first responders, health care workers, service men and women, in their battle to save lives in extreme conditions. And the people who continue to staff grocery stores, pharmacies, delivery services and other necessary establishments should be recognized as well. These workers are coming in every day to help ensure people can get what they need when they need it. Their collective strength is truly inspiring.
It is also important to recognize this pandemic affects all of us in different ways. Please prioritize your physical health and mental well-being and that of your families. We need to be functioning at our best to help support those around us.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to Spherions around the world. Your passion, dedication and willingness to help is extraordinary, especially when we all have so many personal responsibilities outside of work. We will continue to rise to this challenge together, as partners, and continue creating a safer, more sustainable and productive world.
No one can say exactly how long this pandemic will last, but thanks to Sphera’s strategic plan, which we initiated in 2016, we are in a great position now and in the future. We will continue to innovate to meet customers’ complex challenges, and we are committed to helping you navigate through this unprecedented time.
Please stay safe,
Paul Marushka
