As a sustainability leader and a part of the Blackstone organization, which, too, has long championed sustainability, we understand how important it is to not just “talk the talk” but to “walk the walk” when it comes to enterprise sustainability management. That means we are continually looking to improve our own organization.
In October 2021, Sphera committed to joining the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). The UNGC is a voluntary initiative where some 12,000 organizations from 160-plus nations have pledged to incorporate universally accepted sustainability principles into their companies.
ESG principles inform the way Sphera runs our company. We take a highly coordinated approach, knitting these efforts together through a dedicated Sphera sustainability team that looks to apply our ESG policies, champion firmwide initiatives and regularly report progress to our stakeholders.
