The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) provides a framework for companies to disclose climate-related risks and opportunities. Its structure (Governance, Strategy, Risk Management, Metrics and Targets) has been adopted by the ISSB and other regulators.

What is the difference between TCFD and ISSB?

The TCFD created the recommended framework for climate disclosures. The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) took that framework and built it into IFRS S2, a mandatory global standard for climate-related disclosures. TCFD monitoring has now been transferred to the ISSB.
