CHICAGO, IL (May 13, 2021) – Sphera has been named a market leader for chemicals management by Verdantix, an independent research and consulting firm, in its recently released “EHS Software Benchmark” report. Verdantix gave Sphera the highest marks for having “the most comprehensive functionality to facilitate chemicals compliance foundations.”
For the benchmark report, Verdantix applied seven assessment criteria—Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management; chemicals database management; chemicals approvals and inventory tracking; chemicals spill management; chemicals compliance reporting; hazard communication and labeling; and chemicals data-related services—to 22 prominent providers of enterprise-scale Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) software platform solutions. The analysis, which originally appeared in the Verdantix “Green Quadrant EHS Software 2021” report, was based on three-hour live product demonstrations, vendor responses to 332 questions and interviews with customers.
Key features of Sphera’s chemical compliance and chemical management solutions include: 300 SDS authoring templates, 420,000 chemical substance names, 25,000 regulatory phrases, a drag-and-drop interface for material approval, over 365 regulatory lists for cross-referencing at the ingredient and formulation level, and on-site physical inventory services.
