Emissions from the value chain (Scope 3) can account for the biggest share of a company’s carbon footprint, and their assessment and reduction are critical to a strong, science-based decarbonization strategy towards Net Zero.

Sphera’s Sustainability Survey Report found that only a few companies consider the entire value chain when calculating their corporate emissions baseline for a Net-Zero strategy. Even fewer businesses have identified all relevant Scope 3 categories and conducted a corresponding hotspot analysis.
