German Act on Due Diligence in Supply Chains

Particularly for procurement and supply chain managers, Germany’s Act on Corporate Due Diligence in the Supply Chain (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, or LkSG) represents a major challenge. The law took effect on January 1, 2023. What can companies do now to make sure they comply?

First things first.  Companies can evaluate their existing supply chain risk management with these free, easy-to-use checklists:

  • Checklist for compliance to with legal requirements.
  • Checklist for due diligence compliance with the help of the product package, German Supply Chain Law Bundle.

By determining the status quo, companies can detect any gaps in their current approach. Procurement and supply chain professionals may then require practical guidelines on what to do next.

Along with the checklists, the document provides details of tools that can help companies meet key requirements of the law in six steps, supported by Sphera Supply Chain Risk Management [formerly riskmethods].
