Leading ESG firm appoints seasoned CMO to lead enterprise strategic marketing efforts  

CHICAGO, IL (September 29, 2022) – Sphera®, a leading global provider of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance and risk management software, data and consulting services, has appointed Lisa Farrar as chief marketing officer with a focus on Sphera’s enterprise marketing and brand strategy to support the company’s continued global expansion. 

Farrar, who will be based in Sphera’s Chicago headquarters, has over 15 years of marketing experience building brands, developing products and driving growth. Most recently, she served as chief marketing officer at Everspring, a digital solution company for higher education, where she and her team led B2B and B2C student acquisition marketing for more than 70 programs on behalf of top-tier universities, including Northwestern, Tulane and William & Mary. Prior to that, Farrar held marketing and product leadership roles at CARS.com, CDK Global, Cox Automotive, Hertz and Nissan leading end-to-end marketing and strategic initiatives to drive incremental revenue growth. While at Nissan, she implemented the marketing efforts associated with the Nissan LEAF, one of the first and best-selling electric vehicles in the market. Farrar received her Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and her Bachelor of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary.
