Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are increasingly essential for market access in the United States. State Buy Clean laws—including those in California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and New York—along with State Departments of Transportation programs and green building programs such as LEED, are increasing demand for verified, product-level environmental data in public and private procurement. The ability to create credible, accurate EPDs at scale is now a necessity—they can determine bid eligibility, protect margins in competitive tenders, and strengthen customer trust.

In this session, Sphera is joined by Chait Bhat, Head of Sustainability Engineering and Research at the Asphalt Institute, to share how the Institute partnered with Sphera to develop an industry-specific EPD tool that enables member companies to generate fast, accurate, high-quality EPDs at scale.

What you’ll learn:

  • How market drivers are shifting EPD needs from manual, one-off creation to scalable, repeatable processes
  • How to streamline the EPD process and avoid rework with stronger data and methodology
  • How to generate defendable, comparable EPDs faster to support bids and procurement
  • How an industry-specific EPD tool can make it easier to scale EPD generation across product portfolio
