For five years, Sphera’s innovative software, proprietary information and expert-driven insights have empowered organizations to protect their people, assets and communities.
CHICAGO, IL (June 1, 2021) – Sphera has reached an exciting milestone as the company celebrates five years. The organization was established in 2016, but traces its roots back more than 30 years with leading software, data and services solutions in the Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) and risk market.
The company began with about 500 employees and has grown to 1,000 employees globally. It is now one of the leading providers of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance and risk management software and services in the world.
Sphera was founded on a vision to disrupt the sustainability and risk management software and information services market. Today, its industry-leading software, data and consulting services assist companies in creating a safer, more sustainable and productive world.
“From the day Sphera was founded, we had a vision to change the EHS&S and risk management space. We have continued to evolve along the way to become an integrated Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) cloud-based software, data and services organization,” said Paul Marushka, Sphera’s president and CEO. “I am excited about the continued innovation in our software, extension of our datasets and deepening of our consultative expertise in helping our customers meet their ESG and risk goals. And, there’s so much more to come in the years ahead.”
In the spirit of living its mission, Sphera is donating to the nonprofit organization Rainforest Trust. The donation will help protect 1,826 acres of threatened rainforest, one for each day since Sphera was founded.
